CSIS’ Jim Lewis Elected to Wash100 as Cybersecurity, Technology and Intellignce Thought Leader

jims lewisExecutive Mosaic is honored to name Jim Lewis, senior fellow and director of the Strategic Technologies Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as the newest inductee into the Wash 100, the premier group of leaders who create value for the American public and execute strategic vision at the intersection of the public and private sectors.

A former Foreign Service Officer with the Departments of State and Commerce and a government leader with the Senior Executive Service, Lewis has spent his professional career at the nexus of technology and national power, the subject he authored a series of CSIS reports and essays.

Lewis was steeped in a range of intelligence and politico-military issues during his time in government and served as the rapporteur for the 2010 and 2013 UN Group of Government Experts on Information Security.

He currently writes on technology, security, and the international economy for CSIS, authoring Securing Cyberspace for the 44th Presidency in 2008 and leading a track II dialogue with China on cybersecurity, among his technology and strategy thought leadership.

Lewis earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago and is currently researching the effect of the Internet on politics and international security and governance in cyberspace.
